Welcome to Dropin. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dropin website, mobile application, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
Dropin is a Ghana-based ride-booking platform focused on connecting passengers with Pragya/Keke drivers for transportation services.
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, requesting a ride, accepting a ride, or otherwise using Dropin, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
For purposes of these Terms:
“Dropin,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Dropin and its applicable owners, operators, affiliates, employees, representatives, and authorised service providers.
“User,” “you,” or “your” means any person accessing or using the Platform.
“Rider” or “Passenger” means a person requesting or using a Pragya/Keke ride through Dropin.
“Driver” means an independent Pragya/Keke operator registered on the Platform to provide transportation services.
“Vehicle” means a Pragya/Keke or other tricycle approved for use through the Platform.
“Ride” means a transportation service requested by a Rider and accepted by a Driver through the Platform.
“Platform” means Dropin's website, mobile application, software, technology, communication systems, and related services.
“Fare” means the amount payable for a Ride, including any applicable fees, charges, taxes, or adjustments.
“Account” means a registered Dropin user account.
“Service Area” means the geographical areas in Ghana where Dropin makes its services available.
Dropin operates a technology platform that facilitates connections between Riders seeking Pragya/Keke transportation and Drivers offering such transportation services.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Dropin is not the provider of the transportation service itself. The transportation service is provided by the Driver.
Dropin's role may include:
facilitating ride requests;
matching Riders with available Drivers;
displaying Driver and vehicle information;
providing estimated or agreed fares;
facilitating communications between Riders and Drivers;
processing or facilitating payments;
providing trip information and status updates;
receiving and handling complaints;
maintaining platform safety and account standards.
The availability of particular features may vary depending on location, vehicle availability, technology, regulatory requirements, and other circumstances.
To use Dropin as a Rider, you must:
provide accurate and complete information;
have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
comply with applicable Ghanaian laws;
maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials;
use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
Drivers may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, verification procedures, licensing requirements, vehicle requirements, and contractual conditions.
Where applicable, Dropin may require Drivers to provide valid identification, driving credentials, vehicle documentation, insurance information, photographs, contact information, and other information necessary for verification.
You may be required to create an account before requesting a Ride.
You agree that:
information supplied during registration must be accurate;
you will keep your account information up to date;
you will not create an account using another person's identity;
you will not sell, transfer, or share your account;
you are responsible for activity conducted through your account;
you will notify Dropin promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Dropin may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that the account is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or contrary to these Terms.
A Rider may request a Ride by entering the required pickup and destination information through the Platform.
Depending on the features available, the Platform may display:
pickup location;
destination;
estimated fare;
Driver information;
vehicle information;
estimated arrival time;
payment method;
Ride status.
Submitting a ride request does not necessarily guarantee that a Driver will accept the request.
A Ride becomes confirmed when a Driver accepts the request or when Dropin otherwise indicates that the Ride has been confirmed.
Riders are responsible for providing accurate pickup and destination information.
If incorrect information is provided, the Rider may be responsible for additional distance, waiting time, cancellation charges, or other applicable costs.
Drivers may contact Riders through Dropin's permitted communication channels to clarify pickup locations.
Riders should wait at a reasonably accessible and safe pickup location.
The applicable Fare may depend on factors including:
distance;
estimated travel time;
location;
demand;
applicable Dropin pricing;
waiting time;
additional authorised charges;
tolls or other permitted costs.
Dropin may display an estimated Fare before a Rider confirms a Ride.
An estimated Fare may differ from the final Fare where circumstances such as route changes, additional stops, waiting time, inaccurate destination information, or other applicable factors affect the trip.
Dropin may modify its pricing structure from time to time.
Dropin may support one or more payment methods, including:
cash;
mobile money;
debit or credit cards;
electronic payments;
other payment methods made available through the Platform.
The payment options available to a particular Rider may vary.
Where electronic payment is used, the Rider authorises Dropin or its authorised payment provider to process the applicable amount.
Users must not use fraudulent, stolen, unauthorised, or otherwise unlawful payment methods.
Dropin may suspend accounts associated with suspected payment fraud.
Where cash payment is available, the Rider must pay the applicable Fare directly as instructed through the Platform.
Riders should ensure that the correct amount is paid.
Drivers must not demand charges that are not authorised by Dropin or otherwise applicable to the Ride.
Where a fare dispute occurs, Riders should report the matter to Dropin through the available support channels rather than engaging in threatening, abusive, or confrontational conduct.
A Rider may cancel a Ride before or after a Driver accepts the request, subject to any applicable cancellation rules.
A Driver may also cancel a Ride where reasonably necessary, including where:
the Rider cannot be located;
the pickup location is inaccessible or unsafe;
the Rider provides materially inaccurate information;
the Driver or vehicle encounters an emergency;
the Ride cannot legally or safely be completed;
the Rider violates these Terms.
Dropin may apply a cancellation fee where permitted and where the cancellation causes a material inconvenience or cost.
Any applicable cancellation fee will be communicated through the Platform where practicable.
Where applicable, Drivers may wait for a reasonable period at the designated pickup location.
If a Rider fails to appear within the applicable waiting period, the Driver may cancel the Ride and a cancellation or waiting charge may apply where permitted.
Riders should remain available and ensure that their phone can receive relevant Ride communications.
A Rider should not request significant changes to a Ride outside the Platform where those changes affect the destination, route, Fare, or safety of the trip.
Additional stops or destination changes may result in an adjusted Fare.
Drivers are not required to accept a route or destination change that they reasonably believe is unsafe, unlawful, impractical, or inconsistent with the Platform's rules.
Drivers using Dropin are expected to:
provide accurate registration information;
maintain valid licences and permits applicable to their operation;
operate legally within Ghana;
use an appropriately registered and roadworthy vehicle;
comply with applicable road traffic requirements;
follow Dropin's Driver Code of Conduct;
treat Riders respectfully;
avoid discriminatory or abusive behaviour;
not knowingly misrepresent fares;
not engage in fraudulent activity;
maintain appropriate vehicle standards;
comply with safety requirements.
Ghana's current regulatory framework includes specific requirements concerning the commercial operation of tricycles, including licensing requirements under the applicable road traffic regulations. Dropin should ensure that its Driver onboarding and vehicle verification procedures remain aligned with applicable DVLA requirements. (DVLA)
Vehicles used through Dropin must satisfy applicable legal and platform requirements.
Dropin may require information relating to:
vehicle registration;
roadworthiness;
insurance;
ownership or authorised use;
vehicle photographs;
vehicle identification;
applicable permits;
other legally required documentation.
Dropin may suspend a vehicle from the Platform where it reasonably believes that the vehicle does not meet applicable safety, legal, or platform requirements.
Riders must:
behave respectfully toward Drivers;
provide accurate booking information;
wear any legally required safety equipment;
follow reasonable safety instructions;
avoid damaging the vehicle;
not interfere with the Driver's operation of the vehicle;
not request unlawful transportation;
not carry prohibited or dangerous items;
not threaten, harass, abuse, or assault a Driver;
pay applicable Fares and charges.
A Rider may be held responsible for damage caused intentionally or through negligent or unlawful conduct.
Riders must not use Dropin to transport illegal, dangerous, explosive, toxic, flammable, or otherwise prohibited materials.
Weapons, illegal drugs, hazardous chemicals, stolen property, and other unlawful items must not be transported through the Platform.
Drivers may refuse transportation where they reasonably suspect that a Ride involves prohibited or dangerous items.
Where appropriate, Dropin may cooperate with law enforcement authorities concerning suspected unlawful activity.
Riders must comply with the legally permitted passenger capacity of the relevant Pragya/Keke.
A Driver may refuse to carry passengers beyond the permitted capacity.
Riders must not pressure a Driver to exceed the vehicle's legal or safe capacity.
Parents, guardians, or responsible adults are responsible for ensuring that children travelling through Dropin are appropriately supervised and comply with applicable safety requirements.
Dropin may establish additional requirements concerning minors or unaccompanied passengers.
Unless Dropin expressly introduces a dedicated service for minors, users should not arrange rides for unaccompanied children where doing so would conflict with applicable law or Dropin policy.
Safety is a priority for Dropin.
However, Riders acknowledge that transportation involves inherent risks, including traffic accidents, road conditions, weather, mechanical failures, actions of third parties, and other circumstances outside Dropin's direct control.
Riders should:
verify the Driver and vehicle details before entering;
use the appropriate pickup location;
remain alert during the Ride;
avoid sharing unnecessary personal information;
report safety concerns promptly;
contact emergency services where there is an immediate danger.
Dropin may provide safety tools such as Driver information, Ride details, emergency assistance features, trip records, or customer support where available.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Drivers are independent transportation service providers and are not employees of Dropin.
Drivers are responsible for:
their vehicles;
their licences and permits;
applicable taxes;
insurance;
fuel and operating expenses;
compliance with transportation laws;
their conduct toward Riders.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, or franchise relationship between Dropin and a Driver.
Dropin provides technology and related services to facilitate transportation bookings.
Dropin does not guarantee:
that a Driver will always be available;
that a Ride will always be accepted;
that a Driver will arrive at a particular time;
that a Ride will be completed without interruption;
uninterrupted access to the Platform;
that the Platform will always be error-free;
that every Driver or vehicle will meet a Rider's personal preferences.
Dropin will nevertheless take reasonable steps to operate and maintain the Platform and respond to legitimate service complaints.
Dropin is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
traffic congestion;
road closures;

Users must not:
use Dropin for unlawful purposes;

provide false information;

attempt to gain unauthorised access;
reverse engineer the Platform;
introduce malicious software;
scrape or copy Platform content without permission;
harass or threaten another user;
discriminate against another user;
abuse promotional offers;
create multiple fraudulent accounts;
use the Platform to facilitate criminal activity.
Violation of these rules may result in suspension, termination, loss of promotional benefits, cancellation of rides, or referral to appropriate authorities.
Where available, Riders and Drivers may rate each other following a Ride.
Ratings and reviews should be:
truthful;
relevant;
respectful;
based on genuine experience.
Users must not manipulate ratings, submit fraudulent reviews, threaten another user over a rating, or use reviews to harass another person.
Dropin may remove reviews that violate its policies or applicable law.
By using Dropin, you agree that Dropin may communicate with you regarding:
Ride requests;
Driver matching;
cancellations;
payments;
account activity;
safety notices;
customer support;
service updates;

pickup and destination information;
location information;
Ride history;
payment-related information;

Dropin will process personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Ghanaian data protection requirements.
Ghana's Data Protection Commission states that organisations processing personal data are subject to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and associated compliance requirements, including registration obligations applicable to data controllers/processors. (DPC)
Users have rights concerning their personal data under applicable law, including rights relating to access and objection to certain processing. (DPC)
To provide ride-booking services, Dropin may require access to location information.
Location information may be used to:
identify pickup locations;
locate Drivers;
facilitate Driver-Rider matching;
estimate arrival times;
calculate or support Fare calculations;
improve service operations;

However, by submitting content to Dropin, you grant Dropin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, store, display, and process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Platform.
You must not submit content that:

Dropin will review the matter and may issue an adjustment, refund, credit, or other remedy where appropriate.
Refunds may be subject to the payment provider's processing timelines.
If you leave an item inside a Pragya/Keke, contact Dropin as soon as possible.
Dropin may attempt to facilitate communication between the Rider and Driver regarding the lost item.
Dropin does not guarantee that lost property will be recovered.

Where appropriate, users should also notify Dropin as soon as reasonably possible.
Dropin may request information relating to the incident for safety, insurance, investigation, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a person from exercising rights available under applicable law.
Drivers are responsible for maintaining any insurance required by applicable Ghanaian law or their contractual obligations.
Dropin does not represent that every Ride is covered by a particular insurance policy unless expressly stated.
Where Dropin provides or facilitates any insurance-related programme, the applicable insurance policy and terms will govern the relevant coverage.

engaged in fraud;
created a safety risk;
provided false information;
failed to pay applicable charges;
abused another user;
misused the Platform;

Where legally required, Dropin will provide appropriate notice of material changes.
Continued use of Dropin after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
If Dropin does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean Dropin has waived its right to enforce that provision later.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms, together with Dropin's Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Driver Terms, promotional terms, and other applicable policies, constitute the agreement between you and Dropin regarding your use of the Platform.
Where a separate written agreement applies to a particular service or Driver relationship, that agreement may govern to the extent of any conflict.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, subject to any mandatory rights and protections available to users under applicable law.
Dropin encourages users to first attempt to resolve complaints directly with Dropin through customer support.
